Default Fellow owner needs Help !!

A fellow Corvette owner traveling from Georgia needs help in the Selmer,
Tn. area. He has shredded a rear tire on an 06 C6 and can not find one
anywhere in the area. If you think you can help out, give me a call @
901-598-0071. Thanks

What tires does he have on the 06? Most companies have a 800# and possibly someone might answer even if on Sunday.

Well if that’s no help consider this a TTT!

This person does not know exact tire size and he is several miles from
his car. Someone took him to a motel, so he is just trying to find anything that may help hin out. I'm thinking if someone could get him a used tire this may be the best scenario as there may not be a good place to get it mounted without damaging the wheel. His main concern is being able to get back home to Georgia with his car.

Okay, he made it back to his car and the rear size is 285/352R19 90Y If someone could laon him a tire and wheel, he will ship a tire and wheel back to the person !!! We need a good samaritin to do this however and also take a jack and lug wrench to make the change. If someone has a tire and wheel for an 06, I would take it to him even though I'm
in Ms. South of Memphis. Any takers out there ?

Here is a link to purchase a tire:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/285-3...item1e616ab808

Hopefully a family member or friend could bring it to him to have it installed at a shop in the morning.

I wish that I could help further

Just thinking, but would a regular chevy wheel and tire work to get him back home? It couldn't be no worse than those doughnut spares that came in cars. It might would help him to limp home at reduced speed.

Not having much luck so far. This persons name is Dave M. and he is at a motel in Selmer,
Tn. and you can contact him direct at 765-585-2965 if you have any ideas or suggestions.
I'm still available also but if it will help this gentleman out, please don't hesitate to call him.
So far, members have told of tires available on Craigs list, etc. but there is still the problem of getting a tire taken off and a new one mounted in a small town. No pressure, but I know we would all be hard pressed for help if we were in the same position so let's see if we can come up with a solution here. Again, Thanks

Does he have OnStar? If so he has emergency road service, which includes flat tire service, avialable to him.

I am off work tomorrow, you have my number, I called about the tire posting on Craigslist. If needed I can relay one to him tomorrow, Selmer looks to be about a hour or so away by Mapquest.
