good race. even better historical advertisement for Corvette. excellent!
but ACO needs to get rid of the rich-boy Ferrari owners (billionaire) who buy their way in but don't know how to move out of the way.

First of all, the two Ferraris involved were running in the GTE Pro category. Every driver of those cars is a professional.
Second, why just state Ferrari? In the GT classes, I see Ferrari, Porsche, Ford, Lotus, BMW, Corvette, and Aston Martin represented.
Finally, if you had billions of dollars, the organizers would NEVER let you compete. You have not proven yourself worthy. After a few years of serious amateur racing on a national level, they might consider you worthy.
The talking heads had lots of adrenaline flowing after the two horrific shunts. They also had a lot of time to fill. So they blather on and on.
In racing, s#!t happens. A minor error, a split second error, and all hell can break loose.
Enjoy the race.

Cmon man, give him a break. He posted an "Oops" a LONG time ago, only six minutes after his first erroneous post.

And the Ferrari did NOT hit the Audi. Period. Yes, the driver f^@#!d up and moved right, causing the incident. But again, if you race, "stuff" happens.
I also post a minor error, then continued and stated a split second error.

10 hours done and Corvettes are 1st and 3rd in GTE Pro, and 4th in GTE Am. So far, so good.
Number 73 just went to second place. This will ping-pong all night unless there is a crash or mechanical failure. Fun stuff.

yeah rob maybe I'll go make my crap post over there. some guy from wall street with lotsa dollars and mike waltrip as one of three drivers, makes a mistake, miscalculation, driver error. but doesn't touch a car going 180+. yeah that's exactly who rockenfeller wants to be on the track with. maybe some posters here LIKE to see crashes; I don't.
made no statement on the other ferrari incident.
right, it's not a minor error, not when another car disintegrates as result of that split second error. no idea exactly how much better the audis are now designed, but I'd say after watching two of them crash, my take is pretty well done. thankfully, for both drivers.

Looks like the Audi driver will be A-OK from that horrible crash. The Ferrari driver did NOT touch him.....according to the American Nascar owner/driver whose there racing today.
Speaks to Audi's engineering.....I wonder if their street cars are 'that' safe.....that was one h3ll of a crash.....
Vette experienced something like that few years back I think with P-car....
Vette in first place (in their class) at moment....keeping fingers crossed and no repeats of last year.....
