Hmmm....I may have to resurrect it. I've got a few more photos that might be fun to try!

Headlight washers.....I was thinking maybe that, but I didn't see that options when I custom ordered mine. Hmmm....what they squirt some water on there?.....and then it runs up the hood and back over the fenders?
I'm sure there's some logical reason that they are mandatory in Europe, but seems kinda pointless on these cars (you know, like one of those silly Lexus type never used luxury items).

Why are these covered holes on a C6 sold in the USA? Headlight washers have been mandatory in Europe for many years and we see them on European cars here when the manufacture doesn't want to eliminate them on the US model. The C6 does make a European version and there were a few on the assembly line when I was on the buyers tour in 2005.

I wonder if they work just like the ones on the bimmers I've owned. They automatically squirt the headlights every third time you wash the windshield with the washer fluid?

I'd also think that washer fluid (or any fluid) would be tougher on headlight plastic because it's so hot when the headlights are on. It would seem like the washer fluid would hit the hot plastic and dry up very quickly leaving a dried on film (and then layer after layer on top of that).

Headlight washers used to be standard equipment for a while on all Corvette models, domestic as well as export cars; in the early 70's I think. I remember that I had them on my 1970 convertible. Although that was only my second Corvette and it was some 40 or so years ago, I remember it had them because everytime I would use the winshield washer it also automatically activated the headlamp washers; and they would continue to operate until they had sucked the entire fluid resevouir dry. They would operate whether the headlamps were in the raised position or in the down, concealed position. They just would not turn off once the windshield washer had ceased and the wipers parked. So, you only got to use your washer one time before you needed a refill. Dealer never could get it fixed so I ended up disconnecting the lines and plugging them. What a pain, and I still remember it after all these years; ugh! I also remember when I ordered my '73 convertible that I specifically asked if they could be deleted and by then, fortunately, they had been discontinued.
