transparent roof panel
Has anyone noticed that their transparent roof panel makes cracking and creeking noises? I armoralled all of the seals, but I think its the actual plexi moving on the frame of the roof panel. It is very annoying! Any help would be appreciated.

I put my clear top on this year for the first time. No creaking. The painted top creaks like a horny toad. What is shrink tubing that laconiaJack speaks of. My painted top only creaks at the left front mounting post.

Using the GM Superlube from a tube will quiet many cars, but not all. There is a long bulletin from GM that addresses the issue of noisy tops, it provides ways to diagnose the noise(s) and fix it/them.
Get a copy of the bulletin, you should be able find it here with the Search feature. Use the Superlube in all places indicated, and see what happens. If that fixes your problem, great! If not, then work through the bulletin step-by-step. Avoid scatter-shot fixes that worked for someone else, just work through the bulletin.
Our 2009 had 4 different problems which needed to be fixed before it got quiet, the dealer kept at it (warranty) and killed 'em all. You can do the same.
If you have a 2005-2008 (?) with the old-style latches, mrtoner's E-clip mod usually works just as well as installing new latches, and costs hundreds of $ less. It worked great on our 2006.
Silence is beautiful, Good luck!

The transparent tops on our 2006 and now 2009, were initially noisy. Now, both are totally quiet; as quiet as any fixed-roof car we've owned.

Not necessarily in order, I don't have the paperwork in front of me:
Rear latch loose, adjusted.
One front latch (new style) defective, replaced.
Both front latches adjusted.
Both door strikes rattling, this is in the top bulletin because it sounds like a top rattle. Door strikes replaced.
Superlube paste applied as per bulletin (rubber and latches).
After doing all that, our top has been totally quiet since last Fall. But it was a real PITA working throught it all, even under warranty. The dealer would fix one item and the top would be quiet for a while, then get noisy again.
Good luck with yours!
