Other than the needles, I didn't see any other carnage, maybe I just clipped it. Or maybe it was already road kill when I hit it. I ride some pretty bad roads, pothole wise. So maybe I just thought it was another pot hole.

I had remove all the screws to get that bottom piece back in, nothing broken though.

I drive too fast in the vette as it is, no will power. I purposely don't drink when i drive the vette, otherwise I could get in big trouble!

I'm with you, never drink when driving the Vette, well no more than 2 beers. No front plate could get me stopped at any time.

Last year, I hit something in the road on a rainy night a few blocks from my house. My 06 looked just like your pics except, the rubber dam was torn off on the end and had to be replaced. I never did see what I hit since it was in a driving rain. But, the dealer body shop fixed it like new for about $275.00 Ouch, but, it could have been way worst I'm sure. Good luck with getting your baby back to normal.
