It is reassuring to know that the classic American V8 sports car still appeals to kids of all ages. Last week, I was driving alongside a van full of high schoolers for a few miles. They were all staring, and this one guy kept giving me .

I'm 21, just sold my second vette! People don't realize that C5's for under 20 and C6's for well under 30 are the same price as people's new honda civics and accords! Younger people seem to be catching on however, I see more and more with vettes everyday.

Turned 30 a week ago. Bought my first vette (07 Z51) after 8 mustangs.. Still have my 65 mustang, but that car is better suited for hualing *** at the drag strip, or pissing off purists at car shows.. The vette is awesome for dd, as well as blasting down to vegas or where ever.. Very fun car.

Now that I have the funds, it makes perfect sense to get a Corvette. Its not that I couldnt afford a used C5/6, it just didnt make sense financially.
So, I waited, got my masters, and now at age 24 I have a brand new 2011 that will only be 2 years (or less) when paid off!

25 and bought my first Vette a couple of months ago! I was looking for a car for about a year and decided to go with the vette once I graduated from school..best decision EVER!
By the way, I'm glad to see somebody else likes Fear Factory here

I agree... I'm 27 and on my second C6. I get comments all the time from people on how it is nice to see a young person driving a Corvette. A couple of times after getting on it, people have pulled up next to me to say they enjoy seeing the car being driven the way it is meant to be, instead of cruising at 5mph under the speed limit!
Of course, there are always those who are envious and have a chip on their shoulder, but for the most part the reactions I get are very positive.

The Corvette is in good hands because GM finally found its way with the car. The C3, C4 and even C5 got kinda lost. The looks, performance and technology on those model years was something that really only appealing to the typical diehard muscle car crowd. No longer does the Corvette seem like something thats just cheap & fast.. something only someone with a mullet or AARP card would want to drive. The C6.. (atleast for me) is first Vette in many years that has improved in all areas and attracted me as a buyer. From engine to handling to braking to interior to exterior to technology.. it's an unmatchable combination of phenomenal performance, great mpg, great everyday utility, great looks and very reasonable pricetag. With those attributes, I would think the C6 is attractive to a great range of buyers, not just the youth.
More importantly, look at the recently OEM available upgrades (20" wheels, launch control, performance driving modes, carbon splitter & side skirts, carbon brakes, racetrack ready tires, supercharged engine, bluetooth, nav, iPod/iPhone connectivity, touchscreen Nav, suede interior, full leather interior, real driving seats & steering wheel).. its seems like GM is more serious than ever about keeping the Corvette not just a world beater on the stat sheet.. but a world class vehicle thats meant to be driven and enjoyed under any circumstance. The C6 finally offers the same technology thats been available in many other world class vehicles for years now (my 1998 Lexus GS400 had a touchscreen Nav and HID lights).
I hope with the C7, the upgrades to the interior & exterior continue to match what the rest of the manufacters are doing. I hope things like backup cameras, adapative cruise, DSG transmissions, alcantra interior and how about a real stereo system available on the C7. If they can continue to upgrade the car at a world class level, look for even more buyers of all ages to become attracted to it.. versus buying the competition from Ferrari, Porsche, Nissan, Ford, Dodge, etc..

22 years old here and loving 'Vette ownership. But I think it takes a certain kind of youth to own. Most tell me I surpass my years in terms of behavior and wisdom. I believe most young 'Vette owners are the same way.
