So Pissed, I need some FOB help...
So I always put my FOB on my dresser and never had any problems. I wake up this morning at 8:30 to my Bulldog eating it like its a prime rib. Long story short, I can open the doors and all but it will not crank. Looks like im SOL. I also put it in the glove compartment holder and still says no FOB detected. Is there anything else I can do to crank it up? I have never had to replace a FOB but it doesnt seem like it would be cheap.......

Be sure when you put it in the glove box compartment the buttons are oriented on the correct side otherwise it will not recognize it.

You don't have a FOB. It is a fob. Gene Culley will fix you up.

There is a proceedure in the manual for programing, but since you don't have a good working fob, you may have to have it towed to a dealer to get it programmed.
You may want to buy a couple.

Yeah I bought the car a year ago and only have one FOB. I took it apart and the board does not realy look that bad. It had a lot of slober on it though so I am cleaning it and letting it dry and going to put it back together and see if it will crank.........If not, will just be ordering a new one. Thankfully I have a old eclipse I can drive in the mean time....

You can program a new remote with the long version...Go on Ebay or on this forum and people are selling the fobs all the time for a decent price...
Here is the procedure for programming a new remote...The buttons must face the passenger door with the key ring towards seat...You'll need the key to do this also...

No, they are not the same thing. Canadian cars only allow the short version, the long must be done by a dealer. European cars are even more restrictive, they allow no owner programming and both the short and long version must be done by a dealer.
