Curious, but does anyone here use driving gloves with their Vette? I'm thinking that here in Texas it gets really hot and you can start sweating and driving gloves may be the ticket to keeping the steering wheel nice and unsweaty.
Thoughts? It may just be a kooky idea or something. I don't know.

I had a pair once,,40 years ago when I was driving a Mack truck with a 40 foot fuel trailer. It had MANUAL STEERING and they helped on the gazillion turns lock to lock!! Could use that trailer full of premium now!! Not a fan of the gloves or the look!!

I think this will be the most common reaction you will get. I haven't and won't wear them, but I have heard that some drivers who have custom alacantra steering wheels use them to avoid the alacantra becoming sweat-soaked and developing a greasy appearance.

when the roof is off, the windows are down and the OP is in Texas, do you really think the A/C helps a whole lot on the steering wheel and shifter? how about if that waS a convertible---A/C might help even less, don't you think?

OK, I have to get my Texas 2 cents in.
First cent, I have some red ones (like the ones above). They were given to me by friends upon retirement knowing I was headed to Bondurant. I never thought about gloves. Glad they did, I would've been the ONLY one there without a pair. Total novice but at least I looked like I fit in.
Second cent, in the Texas sun a pair of gloves certainly would help when the top is off and keep your hands from sunburning. Matter of fact, hubby has had skin cancers and derm dr. said he should wear gloves ALL the time when driving.
OK, my couple of cents.
John, I like those without the fingers. I'd think of those for keeing my DSV steering wheels clean.

Plus we are not talking racing, tracking driving schools, we are talking going to the grocery store or cruising down the blvd.

Is this a serious thread, or is someone playing silly. My god look at yourself driving your car, I took a picture of you. Might be cool for 2% of the people but MAJORITY RULES!!

If youre driving fast enough to warrant wearing gloves, no one will see your hands to joke on you. If you drive slow through the city and you wear gloves, you'd better be driving a limo...
Instead of gloves, why not opt for an alcantara steering wheel?
