Bowling Green Trip?

Suggest, if you are planning a plant tour to call ahead to verify that they are open. I took a trip a few years ago and the plant was closed for 2 weeks when I was there. At least I saw the outside of the plant.

I would recommend staying in Nashville for a couple of days. The place is awesome. You can rent a car from there and drive up to BG for the day. It is a 60 mile highway drive. Just about an hour and fifteen minutes drive. There are a couple of hotels near BG, but why stay there when Nashville is so close.

For the trip itself and if you belong to AAA, get a TripTik which will come with guide books for hotels and restaurants all along the route and surrounding cities. Used that many times for my many travels back and forth from up there to down here.

I traveld there last year from RI. We went thru West Virginia, awesome highways, awesome scenery.
We even went to visit Talon90 while we were there, bless his heart.
Paul is right, get a trip tick from AAA, that's your best bet.
You might even want to take a drive down to Nashville for a night of bar hoppin', we did, had a great time.
The Wild Horse Saloon is a must if you do go down to Nashville!!!

I see you are from Auburn. I am from Northbridge, now living in Florida.
I use to love playing at Pakachoag Golf Course. I also worked at the Big D in Auburn.

I was just in Bowling Green a couple days ago and this place had EXCELLENT food! It's not far at all from the plant. I really enjoyed this beer I had there:
My girlfriend booked the Super 8 hotel that's right next to the assembly plant. We were very happy with it. Not only did the hotel offer clean towels and a hose for washing off your vette, the lobby was a constant gathering of vette-heads and the parking lot might as well have said "corvette parking only".
