I have a 2011 GS and my mph is perfect but my fuel gague always reads low on HUD. Sometimes it's low by 1/2 tank.

pin 6 on the grey connector behind the IPC(cluster) is the VSS(vehicle speed signal)

the HUD uses the VSS data for the display

post #16 TSB covers the cluster delta

Uh...
I don't think you can display the fuel quantity on the HUD of a C6.

Either way, enjoy your car!

You're right, looking at my owners manual that's oil pressure, a friend told me that it was fuel. We're both still learning about our new cars.

wait wait wait.... you mean to tell me there is something other than the HUD that shows my speed?!

Sometimes I look down and have no idea where that pesky needle is

So go with the HUD readout.

Our 2001, 2006, and now 2009; all had a HUD that read about 1 mph lower than the analog needle. We used several different GPS units to check them, in every case the analog needle was correct and the HUD was reading low.

The HUD has a resolution issue since it can't read a half mile per hour so it has to round off the numbers. The analog speedometer can have a large accuracy issue since it has to convert the digital data the HUD just displays into a voltage which has inherent errors in the process. Then the analog voltmeter that shows the speed has accuracy issues as well. They can be tuned to be accurate but also have a good chance of not being accurate.
