Well, if you say so, then it can't possibly be right.
Some people would like a chance to try before they buy. People would rent them in part to impress someone.
How can it cheapen the image if it costs a premium to rent? Fleet sales as taxi's perhaps, but no harm as a rental.

I fully agree, I do not even want to drive my yellow Z06 seeing my local dealer trying to sell a "limited edition" yellow Hertz a few blocks away from me. Any car sold under fleet sales is doomed to fail. Not to mention the dealers are flooding the market with them without even advertising them are rentals and claiming one owner only

I think the whole Hertz thing is kinda of cool...It gives people the chance to rent a true performance car and then beat the crap out of it/

Should we not set up a board of overseers to pass judgment on each Corvette buyer to be sure the image is upheld.... ? (GMAFB)

Can you cite an instance where fleet sales was the single factor that caused a car to fail?

Leave the fleet rentals to the Mustangs.

And you will be saying this until you try to sell your own car, advertising your one owner low mile vette against Hertz "one owner limited edition" with 40k miles claimed to be super low.

Yeah, because the fleet rentals have killed the sales of Mustangs and Challengers.
I think it's awesome that they'll rent out vettes. Resale value is not a concern of mine when owning a vehicle.

Well good, then you will be apparently first in line for a vette with a four or six banger. Thanks for clarifying that vette is a mass vehicle. Let me know when you will be selling your car, I'd offer you five hundred bucks since you are not concerned with the resale value.

I sort of think titles should be marked as rental or fleet vehicles, then everyone knows the risk when buying it. At least the car history reports usually pick up the facts on this one.

Ummmm? Surely you do bargain for the best trade-in value or sale price when getting rid of one. Unless you use them up totally before done with them.
