Default First topless, red/blue lights, rain and golfball hail

So I take out the GS for the maiden voyage topless with my daughter....It was sunny when I left. First comes the rain and I say to my daughter it's OK as long as it does not hail.

So I stop to put the top on at a gas station....less than 5 miles out of town....flashing lights behind me...cop pulls me over and I know I was not speeding and says there was a drive off at the gas station and they gave them my license plate and told them the direction I went...I tell the officer I never even got gas...he totally believes me and lets me go, whew!

I get home and less than 30 minutes later it hails golf ball size hail...and thank goodness I was already home....

Here are the pictures.

Wow you really got lucky avoiding the hail. I probably live less than a mile from you and it didn't do anything here. Wifey and I were thinking about a drive but heard the thunder coming. Did it damage your house?

That's some bad looking hail. Glad you were home safe.

You might want to talk to the manager of that station and tell him what his people did. Sounds like someone didn't like you stopping without buying gas.

Wow. Glad you skirted the hail. That would have made for a bad day indeed.

Ever have one of those days you feel like you should have never left the house?

I was out south of town cruising with the top off when I saw one flash of lightning with basically clear, kind of hazy skies. Headed back home (south Minni) and rolled into the garage 5 minutes before the rain started. Nothing bad where I was.

Glad you didn't have any damage. Crazy weather this year.......

I was detailing the wheels tonight and watched the storm approach here in Elk River...it hailed Golf Ball size hail down to pea size for well over 10 minutes...can't ever remember when it hailed at one time for that long?

I didn't even think taking the car out as we had baseball practice for my son....it ended up being canceled at the last minute, but the wheels on the new car look great

We need a corvette meet and greet here in Elk River.

Quite the little adventure you gave your daughter! I take it you put your front plate back on, as the station was able to grab your digits, and you didn't get tagged for THAT! Was a pretty good storm, indeed!

Hail storm tore my place up pretty good last week. I have about 15k in damages alone to cars. House will need a new roof and gutters. I havent even seen the adjuster on my house yet. The Vette was safe in the garage. There are so many tore up cars driving around here, it's crazy. Most body shops are booked up untill next year.

We had vicious hail yesterday afternoon. My neighbor saved a few chunks. Some were almost as big as baseballs! I've never seen larger. My Subaru was beaten up pretty badly.

I'd say post pics of the daughter if she's 18 or older but obviously she's bad luck....
