Silent Recalls?
Our 2009 vert, VIN 181 built day 2 of the '09 production run is coming off of the 36 month warranty shortly, 17,000 miles. Any wisdom or list of things that we should be looking at closely, and or our dealer should be checking on or informing us of???

Thanks, may I ask what it was about? We have had wear at the passenger's side roof liner and have had it replaced by the dealer. Supposedly, they removed any burrs and made the plastic around the liner smoother; but it appears to be doing it again. I had read where one forum member was able to get a "lifetime" warranty from the regional GM service rep, as the warranty was expiring.

FYI, after the first 3 years, the extended GM Wty WILL NOT cover the top. My 2006 began to have spidering winter 2010. I brought it to my local dealer and was told the extended Wty did not cover the top as my Vette was not under that recall. Ask what the extended Wty does cover before buying it.

Don't worry to much about recalls. What you should look at is typical weak spots with the C6 in general. Typical things you want to make sure are not going south on you. Crank Balancer, water pump, Diff, sway end links. The list goes on and on.

check for gaps in the weatherstrip above the widows. If you blast the area with a hose and water gets in, the weatherstrip has shrunk (common with age) and should be replaced under warranty.
