I started with a vert some 54 years ago and wouldn't consider anything else.
Then it was a '54 Vette. Today it is a '09.
My wife keeps a kerchief in the glove compartment. Nothing like driving with the top down in the cool mornings or late afternoons.
I have had coupes and they are nice in inclement weather or cold winters, or if you race, but now retired, I follow the sun.
You're never too old to enjoy a Corvette convertible. It is a mind set

I have had 5 convertibles in the last 25 years. On my second C6 vert. The wife keeps complaining about the car with the top down, too loud, too windy, too hot, too cold.
I am starting to see her point of view (don't tell her I said that).
I am too old for the vert? Is it time to go back to a coupe?
I may retire in a year and if I am going to go for another car, I would prefer to do it while I am still working.
Opinions welcome. Thanks.

Been there with tons of verts. I personally like it but the jury is out on the summer heat in FL. But there's no doubt on how my wife feels abt it. Same as yours.
I put my Vert up FS already. My thinking is maybe squeeze in another Z before surgery. Saw an 09 I liked. But with me you never know what's next.
I would sell. Spring is prime time.

I can't imagine "age" has anything to do with it. I suppose if you spend more time griping about the convertible than enjoying it maybe you should get a coupe. If, however, the C6 is the car you mostly drive (and your wife mostly drives something else) and you still enjoy the vert...keep it. When you and your wife go places together take her car.

Too old for Vert but not old enough to retire? Just kidding you.

We have a pair of C6s, one coupe and one convertible. There is no question in my mind that the coupe is quieter with the top on or off than the convertible. Also, there is clearly far less wind buffeting in the coupe with the top off than in the convertible with the top down. The coupe is more comfortable in a far broader range of temperatures with the top off than the convertible is with the top down. I like the convertible, think it is a great car, but I like the coupe even better.

OH man! I didn't realize my Vette had a top stowed in the trunk. I just went to the garage to check and it does have a roof. Who knew! Seriously though, I am probably a younger Vette driver but I plan to die with the top down and most likely without the wife.

My wife and I are late 60's and still love the convertable. We do use a wind screen when going somewhere that her hair style matters (since I'm bald doesn't matter to me). Does a great job but still gives you the open car feeling.
