I can't wax/polish/seal my car for another 45 days until the paint totally cures. But according to my body guy (the one who did the work) when I asked about how long to wait:
Flame away!
90 days is generally what I tell everyone for wax. I don't know much about sealers but I think its best to stay away from those types of products because they tend to keep the paint from breathing properly and possible shorten the life of the paint. I recommend a good glaze (Meguires makes several) to help maintain the gloss. Today's clears have a built in UV protection to help extend the life of the paint so waxes and sealers are no longer necessary.

With the new clear coats really don't need to be waxed. That said, I wax mine once a year during winter, unless I get tree sap like I did last summer. That was fun!

Never read any replies, but bet there were no Zainoists on here as they have to apply and reapply about one million coats, bi weekly. Zaino Brothers thank you!

My early '05 is almost 7 years old. I have waxed it twice. It gets washed regularly every year. And has been prof. detailed 5X. It virtually never rains here, so all I regularly do is use a CA duster about every other Sunday, and it looks cleaner and shinier than 90% of cars more than 90% of the time.
I'm not lazy, but have a bad back.

I do get a kick out of all the people (me included) that post pictures of how great their newly waxed cars look with pictures taken at angles and in the correct light. I was parked next to a coworkers black truck that has not been washed or waxed in years and the reflection was like a mirror. Kinda makes you wonder how much wax or sealant really contributes to the clear coat shine.
