Saran wrap as a disposable bra

Saran wrap as a disposable bra
How about using Saran Wrap or Press n Seal as a temporary bra for those long trips. Just peel off the bug splatter. Anyone try this? I know it won't protect against stone chips but should help with the hard to clean bug guts.

If you're going to that much trouble and want it to not look like a car out of a new model spy picture just get on ebay and buy a roll of 3m clearbra, cut it and work it on yourself. Be sure to watch install how-to videos online first as there is a technique to it.

Not as easy as you say, tried to do it myself, got air bubbles...frustration set in...ripped it off.

Try this, spray down your area with hairspray, stretch on the saran wrap, let it dry in the sun or overnight. The most important areas will be the edges so they don't lift up and peel at freeway speeds.
You can give it a shot in town before a trip, and hey if its a failure it just pulls off. $2.
I'm sure many others are simply going to weigh in with the "spend the 100-200 and have a professional clear-bra install"

i just use Zaino. bugs dont stick. they wipe right off with no effort with detailing spray or washing the car.
you are smart to want to get those guts off quickly though! bugs are very acidic and can etch the clear coat

They actually sell a glorified form of saran wrap for track use which would probably work for this situation.
However, the amount of time spent wrapping your car is probably comparable to the time you'd spend cleaning your car.
They're only bugs! Just wax your car prior to the trip and try to rinse them off whenever the opportunity arises.
Either way, it's just part of owning a car.

I dunno, its alcohol and a polymer you'll have to read the ingredients on the back and do a search. I haven't done it, but there will be something that would work. Hairspray, 3m spray adhesive, even a thin film of water and baby shampoo. Once it dries out from under the wrap it will be stuck on nice and snug.
