Just got back from the plant tour, if you want a black one hurry and order one, the production line was at least 50% black !

Did not notice anything new except the black calipers on the base C6

I know you guys are digging all this data that we all have had...but;

Knowing the GM protocol, and respect to our Corvette team I think all of THIS info posting was wrong and what the bash announcement was for from GM next weekend, whihc I will be attending.

JMHO.

so the 76 vette was OK then being was used in other models
like the carmo and our favorite the Vega gt
Who said anything about a 76 vette???
Who said it was ok 35 years ago??
Just because GM did something 35 years ago does not make it right or wrong today.

Please read before you post nonsense.

And WTF is a carmo?

It will be a long year to wait for the C-7 Corvette to be announced next year at the Birthday Bash in Bowling Green, hopefully with lots of spy pictures, good rumors and insider information coming out in the next few months to keep us happy.

Does anyone living near the Assembly Plant or the GM Design Center in Detroit keep their camera ready for capturing the test fleet of new Corvettes?? Let the fun begin!!
I can remember when the C6 was going to come out as the 2003, 50th anniversary.
GM has never had a new Corvette in production at the expected time, and I doubt that anything will change this time around.

The 1983 Corvette comes to mind.

Or the 1967, which was supposed to be the first year of C3.
Or the C5, which was stopped/delayed so many times that no one really knows when it was first supposed to appear (read "All Corvettes Are Red").

The 2012 Z06 F55 package sounds like the 2011 Z07 package minus the Brembo carbon ceramic brakes. My guess would be around $4000 give or take $500.

LS7 would do fine w/ 285's under normal driving conditions. If you want to smoke them, then yeah, you may have a problem, but you can smoke the 285's easily if you want to as well. I say GM should give us the engine, and leave the driving to us.
Kindof like Ford has done with the GT500?

No thanks. I want a car, not an engine.

However, GM has already granted your wish. The LS7 is for sale in crate-motor form and you can pick up one of those C4's for pretty cheap, too.

I like that choice cause i wouldn't pay $1750 for the radio/nav package again.

Sorry Conti--you've been a great forum dealer but I gotta call TOTAL BS ON YOUR POST. TOTAL BS and you should damn well be ashamed of yourself. YOU owe the OP a HUGE PUBLIC APOLOGY.

You INTENTIONALLY "attacked" another forum dealer for self gain at the same time trying to suck up to GM as well as pat your own back with the statement that you will be going to the Bash next week.

Please issue an apology to the OP

Regardless Conti is way wrong here.

Look at his post--totally self serving corporate politics. It added nothing to the color/info debate-discussion.
.
If Rick was concerned about GM being upset with the leak of info all he had to do was email the OP and check if GM had ok'd the early release and maybe warned the OP to pull the thread (heck, he could have contacted a mod and asked the forum to pull the thread) CF forum mods have properly pulled info threads at the request of GM when sensitive info was mistakenly released.

But to show up DAYS after the info is out and all over the net and cannot be pulled back and then critize the OP/info posting while sucking up to GM in the process is PURE BS and cannot be excused in any manner.

Anybody know if the actual steering wheel diameter has changed?
