Am I an A** Hole for taking up 2 parking spots?

i think you missed his point, and every on elses. We all love our cars. they mean a lot to us. but no one else gives a flying **** about your car. just cause you love your car, wether it be Corvette, Kia, or Lambo, you dont deserve that special treatment. You are not any better than everyone else. again, everyone loves THEIR car, but if everyone else was an a$$hole too, every car in the lot would take up 2 or more spots. is that ok with you?
these are the same people who feel entitled to take handicap spots, park in the striped spot next to the handicap spot, park in a fire lane or in front of the store door with their flashers on, not put their shopping carts in the corrals, etc.
hell, i'll go as far as to guess you dont use your blinker or stop at stop signs when "no one else is around"

I tend to take up 2 parking spots when I park my Z. Theres way too many careless people that will swing there door ALL THE WAY open and ding the s**t out of your door! Im usually in the very back of the parking lot and not so close to the front like this person. hahaha!
Who else does this?

I used to carry a tool to pull valve stem cores when I was in college. If I found someone taking up 2 spaces on purpose I would pull the cores out of all 4 valve stems. No permanent damage but it made for a major inconvenience for the inconsiderate jerk!
Nowadays they just key your car, or park so close to you that you can't get in your car.

I park my Vette anywhere. At the grocery store, at the gym, restaurants, at the movies. Not in the back 40, just anywhere I can find a spot with everyone else. In 3 years of driving I have yet to get a door ding or scratch.

Thrill, I loved cars since I was 10 and yes my Corvette is very special to me. If yours isn't special to you, then sell it and buy a KIA.
Hard to tell why you even bought a Vette and I will not even guess. If your Vette gets you from point A to point B, and that is why you bought it, well thats sad. You are missing a very special owners experience. I think that is the problem with many of the newer Vette owners. They do not appreciate what they own.
Like I said, sell your Vette and buy a KIA and go post on their site. I thought this site was for Corvette lovers.

You're a hoot, Stan.
I've got 500,000 miles in Corvettes driven in 45 of the lower 48 states. - and more than 300,000 miles in Porsches.
Worked hard for all of them - I'm a working stiff - retired Navy CPO.
I've been driving quality and fine automobiles for more than 55 years. Have owned a ton of expensive, semi-exotic, fast, desirable, attention-getting, and some "sorta" high-dollar cars and that's what they all are - cars.
No matter how exotic. No matter how much they cost. In the end they are simply transportation, unless one keeps them around as an object of adoration; and I just don't see how a mass produced car falls into that realm.
Doesn't mean we don't like our cars but we know they're not sacred.

The only time I have taken up two spots was on base in fort drum and a couple (fat lady and skinny lil dude) were hating on me and the lady goes "you know its illegal to double park and I just keep walking and ignore what she has to say. 10 minutes later I have military police giving me a ticket that was later on thrown out because of no video camera in the police car and judge had a 2004 Z. But I will admit that I def park away from most vehicles and 15,000 miles and no dings *knock on wood*
Another thing. I would suspect it is pretty hard to ding a plastic car. Chipped paint maybe, but I seriously doubt you will end up with a door ding.
Just drive the thing, it is just a car.
