Default OK, I know you guys hate caliper covers, but...

After buying my Vette last year, I, of course, started thinking about mods. I decided to add Corsa Sports and CAI then work on the outside. I found some awesome rims at COH, then added vent screens, blackout sidemarkers and tint.

I then decided I needed to do something about the ugly little calipers. I read every thread you guys have ever posted on caliper colors, painting vs powdercoating, etc, including some pretty universal negative feelings about covers. And, after agonizing all winter about what to do, I looked up some pictures of cars with covers, and decided I liked them anyway and that I thought they would work on my car. So, here it is... Love it or hate it. But, still feel free to tell me what you think. Pics are from the Corvette Expo in Sevierville last month.

Oh, yeah... the last picture shows what the judges at the show thought of my little experiment.

Sorry, don't really care for them. They look like they belong on a toy car.

You said to be honest.

I do like the rest of your mods!

Trophy was for best caliper covers, of course!

Actually, for Top 10 in show. All 10 got the same.

Looks awsome. I think you need some cross drilled rotors to round out the package!

Your car is very nice, and you've presented it very well. It's your car, and you do with it as you like; you don't have to please anyone else but yourself.

That said, if it were me, I'd ditch the caliper covers, put some real big brakes on it and get me to some HPDE's and learn to drive that sukka!! That car was meant to go fast, not sit around at some show...hey, you asked...

Seriously, to each his own, and it is our differences that unite us here in the land of Corvette...it's your car, just go out and enjoy it!!

Hey, I have powdercoated calipers but no trophy so you did something right. Congrats on the trophy and for putting together a great looking vette.

The caliper covers look fine and enlarge the otherwise smallish rear calipers; not a fan of the brake light grills though; all in all very tastefull. Congratulations.

Car looks great! I would do a ferw things different, but it's not my car it's YOUR'S! I also agree on the caliper covers! They look better than the ugly stock ones and they will not chip and peal like the painted ones. they are also easy to clean and help keep your wheels cleaner. Sure, big brakes would look better, but cost $$$$$. Thanks for the pics and congrat's on the trophy!

I prefer mostly stock especially on the exterior, but as long as you're happy, that's all that matters
