I am pretty sure that headers will void the warranty on pretty much anything involving the engine and transmission.

I've seen service work denied for a CAI (too much oil on a gauze filter causing MAF problems), and I've had warranty work completed with a supercharger, cam, and headers on a GTO.

Long Tube Headers do not void your warranty in most cases, that is what my service manager told me. Almost anything related to air intake or exhaust is ok.... but LTH's are worthless without a tune... which will void a lot of your warranty.

I'll have to disagree. The entire fate of your warranty is up to your local service manager. If it comes to a MAJOR repair, it will often be up to the regional service manager.

OP, best to hold off until your 2011 Vette is at least a year (or two) old. If by some chance you get a lemon, no sense giving Government Motors any easy outs to deny warranty work....

My local dealership agressively denies warranty repairs for anything even remotely connected to a performance enhancing modification (including long tube headers and cold air intakes). I wish it were otherwise but I understand why they have to do it.
True but many states conduct annual emissions tests and/or other vehicle inspections to enforce environmental regulations.

ITSGRAND said it best. Depends on the dealer. Headers should not void the warranty, but some dealers may try to tell you it does. You almost certainly will have a CEL which they will complain about. Then you get a tune to get the most benefit from the changes and you just voided your powertrain warranty. Enjoy your new car!
