just thought I'd post a quick shot of the car and its progress so far and say thanks to all those here who gave advice when asked.

criminy you dont want to know. its all oem carbon fiber so im in it around 10k and the bumper was done when I got the car. thats without the wheels and tires

Just to let you know, only the front fenders are carbon fiber, everything else, bumper quarters, parts, are all fiberglass...

Unless you went with aftermarket CF quarters????

It's not fiberglass either. The bumpers are urethane and the rear quarters are composite plastic.

I couldnt resist the allure of being able to go topless. lord knows I could've had a z easy for what I've spent. The purists would argue its just NOT a z, but I didnt necessarily want a z, just a wide, super fast, topless vette. Plus I enjoy the challenge. did I mention right now I'd KILL a stock zr1 in a drag race and I'm workin on improving it through the twisties. thanks everyone for the compliments. Its definitely been some work
