I was just talking to a friend of mine today about putting some splash guards on his '09. Was there another style of guard that GM offered before this design? It seemed like the set of GCA I installed on another guys C-6 last year were a little shorter, or maybe it was just how I had remembered them.

Yes you do. You have to drill holes in the fender liner( for the rears only).
