Post Sound Clips of your Exhaust for us to enjoy
I'm in the process of upgrading my car's exhaust, and I'd like to hear what your car sounds like. I'm sure there are many other people thinking the same as me, so this is a good community thread.
Please post audio/video of your car (interior and exterior) and include:
Let's hear them! Borla, Magnaflow, B&B, Corsa, stock Z06, stock ZR1, stock C6 ... let's hear them all!
Note: If you have found a great way to record your car's exhaust, please share it with the rest of us!
Please post audio/video of your car (interior and exterior) and include:
- What type of exhaust do you have?
- Does your car have headers (Yes/No)
- Other mods to improve the sound of your exhaust?

I'll start:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7PtGh...layer_embedded
- Magnaflow Magnapak exhaust
- Headers? Yes, Dynatech long tubes
- The exhaust was WAY too loud with this combo. So I had to put a pair of small mufflers on to bring down the noise level. The "whine" sound is coming from the Magnusson supercharger

Not my rides but I love the exhaust notes from these two C6's.
The first one is a C6 with the Corsa Extreme exhaust system.
The second one is a GS vert equipped with dual mode
exhaust and the fuse pulled.

I've found a lot of place's to hear the exterior sound of different exhaust, but what I would like to also here is the interior sound, perferably at steady freeway speed. Maybe you can add that to you list.

Don't want to get off topic but I've got a question for some of the experts... I was thinking of starting a new thread asking this but if I get some decent response here I guess I won't need to...
What do you guys think is the best camera or set-up to record exhaust sounds in the car and out. I've seen cameras that have a mic jack that you can use, or some people just use a microphone and a computer and "dub" the sound and video together
Anyone have any good recommendations for mounted camera set-ups for optimal sounds?

There's mixed results on this page, but it does have several exhaust clips from many different manufacturers.

Nothing wrong with getting an idea from videos what the exhausts sound like, however based on my experience I still STRONGLY recommend before making a purchase that you listen in person... dropping around 1k on an exhaust and then not being happy wiht it sucks.
I remember 8 years ago getting my C5 and then listening to Corsa's online and loved them, put them on my car and was very disappointed (just not my personal taste)
I am glad at least the OP is requesting people post some information about the car and other mods as they have a big impact on sound (ie, headers, cam, supercharger.. stock manifolds vs. Headers with no cats)
I just (today) got my B&B PRT's for my Z06 so I'll go ahead and post up a video to give an idea once I get them installed.
