YES!!! You will be thankful the first time you hit a rough road. If you are comparing it to a base coupe/vert suspension then it also is better over hills and dips. The shocks adjust many, many times per second and unlike conventional shocks they don't wear out at different rates. They are generally fail proof also (yes a few have failed).

I have the F55 on both of my C6s and I wouldn't have one w/o it here in Michigan. The roads here are bad and getting worse! The F55 in Tour mode really soaks up the impacts, but when I get somewhere (actually almost anywhere) w/better roads, I can switch to Sport mode and enjoy the firmer feel. I have a set of Z51 sways to put on my weekend vert, but I'm planning to leave the DD coupe with the original sways. If I lived somewhere with smooth roads, I'd probably have gone for the Z51......

Go Canes!
I have it. In Florida probably not. Roads are mostly flat and smooth. I usually keep mine on sport unless I am taking a long highway trip. Where you are, yes, definately!

The F55 addresses that you are in a problem before you the driver even knows that you are in a problem. I think the F55 should be standard equip. What I am saying is that the F55 reacts faster than any human being can. My 2 cents worth...

I think it is. I had the Z51 setup on my C5 and hated it. On rough roads in upstate NY the car would jump all over the place.
I have the F55 on my 07, and although it doesn't have that tight suspension feeling that the Z51 had, it stays glued to the road. I will order it on my next Vette.

Each suspension has its own benefits but IMO the F55 suspension is the best 'all-around' suspension offered by Corvette. Controlled MR suspensions are being seen on more and more high end and performance cars. I compiled some decent information about the F55 suspension. If you'd care to read it PM me your email address and I'll send it to you. If you contemplating the F55 suspension its well worth reading.

The first time you feel the C6 recover from an unexpected dip/etc. with complete control being administered by the shocks varying their rebound/compliance, you'll be amazed.
And the overall ride is adjustable, as well.
Add Z51 sway bars if you want a little more body control and you have the perfect 'street' suspension for the Vette.
Definitely worth the money IMHO.

The F55 mag shocks are worth the price if you plan to use the car for daily driving where you can't pick the roads. I've driven the z51 and the difference on anything but pristine roads is incredible. May be hard to tell on a test drive, but spend an hour behind the wheel and you will appreciate the benefits the f55 offers.

Yep, the best overall suspension for the Vette. Now if someone whould just figure out how to make a F55 Coilover we would truely have the best suspension period. Pfadt, you listening?

And if you are buying your car at invoice price or below...... the invoice price for the F55 option is actually 1491.60 which is a 25% bargain over the 2K number you are asking about. 3 weeks ago when I ordered my 2011 GS Coupe, I had no intentions of ordering the F55 until someone asked Why no F55? on this forum. I researched it on here and due to an overwhelming positive review, decided to get it. I will have nothing to compare it to when I get my car in a few weeks but I hope it's worth the money.

Have it, love it, highly recommend it to all of the uninitiated out there on the fence...well worth the extra cost if you love "driving" your sports car...some say they can't tell a difference-trust me, you can! Agree with the others, if money is a factor, the Nav system would be the first to go.
