Default My Vette had an oil leak........had.

I noticed some drops on my floor and thought that should not be happening. My car needed an oil change so I mentioned the drops to Blake, the service writer at John Megel Chevrolet in Dawsonville, GA. He said they would look into it for me when they performed the oil change.

I waited a little in the lounge when Blake entered the lounge looking for me. He said they found the leak, my oil pan gasket was leaking. He set me up in a free rental and sent me on my way. I picked up my car today and the gasket has been replaced under warranty along with the oil.

I really like John Megel Chevrolet!

Had that happen on my 06. Same result. Good as new.

Bet you're glad you took care of that and now don't have to worry about it.

They're not rare....

500,000 miles in Corvettes in 20 years and only one complaint about service at any time and that was more than 10 years ago.... have driven Vettes in 45 of the lower 48 states and have had service - and work - in more than a dozen.

I wish my experience was that easy but after my oil pan gasket ordeal my car is still at the dealer with the engine torn down (waiting on parts) because of some odd drive train noise afterwards.

Man, you guys are freakin' me out!
I just came back from the dealer as I took the Vette in for a leak(thought it was the rear diff.). Turns out the oil pan gasket, both input and output seals on the tranny are leaking. They have to take out the whole transmission! Parts have to be ordered and I've got to take it back Tuesday.
Quit talking like that! Just quit it!

Sounded like a ticking from the engine... Abnormal ticking after 1500 RPM.

Car is still there 3 week later. Getting new Cam and lifters. and some springs and rods too.
