I don't want to rain on your parade but I don't want you to regret this decision.
Realize that 2 years from now, your car will be worth only 55% of what you are paying for it now. In other words, the car will be worth around $35k, just 2 years from now. If you are financially sound & are OK with taking a $20k bath on the car, then go for it, if not, you better rethink this debt.
How long is the term of the loan?

I'll be doing 35K loan over 5 years @ 1.9% I'm assuming you are telling me any new vette will depreciate like this, not just the combo I am ordering? This car will be paid for a year before I can retire, so I'm not too worried about it. I have 80K worth of motorcycles in my garage that I realistically could sell for about 40K so I guess the vette is on par with those.
Does the "out the door" price include tax?

I have seen a lot of people get into bad situations/debt due to cars like this but everyone is scared to say something to them BEFORE they sign on the line. Buying a car is an emotional experience and sometimes emotions overrides common sound sense. We sometimes need to step back and reexamine big $$$ decisions like this. That is why car dealers want to rush buyers into signing the same day. The dealers know if the buyer goes home to "think about it", they back out of the deal 50% of the time.

See below:
Now, regarding...
He doesn't have to say anything but why is it "taboo" to tell someone to make sure they are making a sound financial decision? Isn't apathy partly to blame why American's are in debt and bankruptcy up to their eyeballs?

I've been looking and shopping since the C6 came out. I like my toys, but am tight with money too. My finances are in order and I won't have any trouble making the payments and will probably pay it off early. I didn't rush this decision and I'm happy with the price. I actually went and looked at a bunch of vettes at the dealer early last Sunday a.m. and I have received zero pressure from any one regarding the purchase. I was most hesitant about what my wife would think. When I brought up the impending purchase last Saturday night she just said " You only go this way once." GREEN LIGHT ! Thanks for your concerns.
Yes, every C6 takes a huge depreciation hit. As long as you are OK financially with it, then congrats and enjoy the car!

If that's the case then why are you selling your car : 2008 - 3LT, Z51, NPP - Only 6k miles for $35k ? According to your theory, it should be priced around $28k. Just sayin...
