Bridgestone Potenza RE-11
Planning to buy these tires for my base c6. The 285/30-19 price is 100 dollars per tire cheaper than the 305/30-19. So my question would be...will I get more grip with the 305's, and would the grip be worth the 100 per tire extra?

Thanks for the info! Thats what I need to hear from these tires! I jus bought my dad a 2007 C6 Vert with auto and he keeps beating my 08 man. from the stop lights because I waste my time spinning these stock runcraps!

Yeah these are sooooo much better than the stock run craps. I just bought my car (08 Z51) and within a week I had to get those POS Goodyear tires off the car.
These tires are so much better in so many ways.. Traction is close to an R compound IMO, with less noise, better feedback and no more "skip" etc etc.

Stick with the stock tire size - no need for an "off size" change.

Just got these in stock sizes over the weekand agree with TRBOKEV's review! Awesome tire and was actually hooking up nicely even in the cool weather. When the streets warm up these bad boys should hookup really well...especially for a street tire. Not quite an R-compound, but at 180 treadwear they are still pretty soft and handle great in the rain.

I have 4000 miles on my RE/11's and I love them. Just got back from a 2500 mile trip to south FL and it's like driving a different car. Very smooth ride and very quiet. They also hook up a lot better than the GY runflats. According to my G-Tack app on my I phone I picked up 2mph on my 1/4 mile runs. Can't wait to try them at Bowling Green during the bash.

I have a set of used RE-11 in the stock sizes for sale. They are currently mounted on chrome wheels. About 3,000 miles on them. They won the autocross and drag races on my 08 coupe at the 40th Black Hills Corvette Classic last year.

I did the RE-11's on my stock rims. I upsized the tire and have the 265 Front and 305 Rear setup. going this route kept the speed sensors happy and I have a little more rubber on the road.

If you are stock and don't track, then you don't need the extra width. I went with 265/305 combo but spend 10+ days of the year on the track.
If money is no object, then 265/305 combo is right ticket. Don't forget to get an emergency inflation kit as these are not run flats.

I was thinking $1700 tires and wheels plus shipping and $800 tires only shipped. If you look on Tire Rack i think new they go for $1200 shipped tires only. I will get some pics up in the next day or so.

Stock rims will fit this size. No rub no issues.
I used http://www.1010tires.com/tiresizecalculator.asp to calculate the sizes to keep the delta to 1% or less. this combo will adjust the speedo upwards by 1MPH at 60. (eg reads 60 going 59.)
FWIW Tirerack is conservative on the "approved" the 305 tire is just slightly larger than tirerack is comfy with.
