Yes it is over a year old but..........I have to totally agree with everything the OP says about the 2008 Base w/Z51 to 2011 GS comparo. I went from a 2008 Base w/Z51 to my current 2011 Cyber Gray GS. My experiences a year later (took delivery in March of 2011) mirror the OP's. He was right on then and he is still right on today. I love my ride. Kids love my ride, young adults love my ride, many women love my ride as do the older folks. As I have said in several posts and in a letter published in "CORVETTE MAGAZINE" I have never experienced a car that gets such rave attention where ever I go. Now that I have new Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires all around the ride is better than ever. Funny thing, the OP says he was going to the Driving School out west. I went to Bob Bondurant last Nov. and had a blast, learned more in three days than I ever had before and came away with a healthy respect for the ZR1 I drove as well as the track versions of the GS I was priviledged to drive on the track. Like to meet him some day. Just came back from Sebring, wish I had gotten together, birds of a feather should flock together.

Anyone that is around the Daytona/Ormond Beach area should let me know and I'll meet you out somewhere after work.
