Default Jetstream Blue

I see over on the Corvettte Conti site that they have just confirmed that Jetstream Blue is done as of March 3. ... I post this as someone wanted to order JSB but not yet. Better get off the fence and get your order in.

Default Jsb

I posted the above. I sent out an e mail to several of the Corvette people here in the area. One of the folks, that works at the large Chevy dealer in the area says, and they did this at the time where they finally just brought out the Blue Convertible tops. ... It just makes ya wonder about the people making these decisions...

Sorry to see it go but I guess its time has come in the overall scheme of color rotation.

I'm in the process of doing the GS body conversion to my already widebooty C6 and having it repainted JSB at the same time (it's currently black). WHEW!!

IBTL!!

That was me....and I can gladly report that I put my order in and it has been accepted and scheduled for production!

I posted in the Z06 Forum about the purchase. I knew you were correct and took your advice and made it happen.

They take away all the good colors (DSOM, MY, MS, JSB, LMB) and leave the regular ones. Maybe they do want all Corvettes to be Red. The blue top might have looked good on JSB.

This is good news to me. Having a JSB vette was not common and now it seems like most new orders are for that color. So far I have only seen 2 others in my area and both where convt where mine is a coupe.

Is SSB taking over for JSB?

Could be......at least it might be "the light blue" offering.

I'm thinking they're bringing back another "dark blue" but probably not LMB. Maybe Electron Blue, maybe something even darker that LMB.

We'll see in 2 months unless something gets leaked.

I'm thinking the cost might have something to do with it.

JSB is a VERY expensive paint compared to other, non 3 layer, "opalescent" colors and very time consuming to apply as well.

I'll see what info I can get out of the DuPont reps that work in my plant.
