Default Too many problems!!!!!!!!!!!

I really love my car it's a 2010 Corvette Grand Sport Conv. But this car has given me so many problems I'm starting to dislike it. I've had to get a new steering wheel installed, a new headlight installed, a new cloth top installed, a new radio installed, the brakes squeal way to much ( to the point where i hate driving it while the brakes are cold), the button on the trunk u push to open the trunk has stopped working again, and now when I press the brakes I hear a very loud clicking/popping noise I'm dropping it off at the dealer Monday to get a new trunk button and my brakes looked at. All of these repairs have been under warranty I still have around 10,000 miles left on my warranty hopefully I won't have any problems after my warranty runs out. Have any of you experienced any of these problems?

Sorry to hear you are having problems. I have a 2010 GS Coupe and have had a headlight replaced due to spider web cracks in the clear lense, but other than that, the car has almost 11k miles on it with no other problems. I'm sure your dealer will take care of the issues and to ease your future concerns, you may want to consider buying the GMPP extended warranty near the end of the factory warranty. Good luck with it.

Sorry to hear about the many problems with your car. They are not all like that. My 2009 has been trouble free.

i smell a lemon law!!! I got this car because I filed for lemon law on my tahoe and got a ridiculous deal on the trade. All you need is your car to be at the dealer for 15 days or more (doesn't have to be in a row), OR the same problem 3 times. Fill out the the paper in the back of your lemon law book that came with the car and send it to GM with a typed letter and a copy of your service history report. You will be receiving a phone call within a few days.

Sorry to hear about your problems neighbor; my '09 with 21,000 miles has been trouble free except for a blown cigar lighter fuse, and the squealing dusty brake issue which I solve by going to GM ceramic pucks. Keep us informed of your progress in getting your problems resolved.

The noise in the brake pedal is because they put a 4 pin thing in when it should be a 5 pin. There was a thread on this other day on this and believe it or not,I have the same issue on my 07 CADDY DTS!!!
The brake squeal has been around since 05 and GM refuses to warranty it and calls it 'normal'!!!.THIS AFTER SEVERAL 05 PEOPLE COMPLAINED WAY BACK THEN .A lucky few got new pads under warranty, and that was it.My fix back then was to get the car up to about 50mph and stand on the brakes till the car was stopped.I did that 5 or 6 times and the squeak went away for the 2 1/2 years I had the car.My 08 doesn't make that noise.

My '05 brake squeal was fixed under warranty early on. I think cured with ceramic pads. Which work fine for me all these years.

I wish mine only had those problems.
If you did a CarFAx on mine it would make War And Peace look like a children's book.

I concur with the poster about the lemon law. If you are having that many issues with it, pull out all your receipts and count the days its been in the shop and then research your states lemon law. might be applicable for you.

You were one of the fortunate early ones!

Yeah! Fortunate enough to get over $8K in warranty work over 52 shop days the first 5 years with my dear '05! Which has finally been perfect this last year and a half!

lol.

Well, you definetly have a few issues to deal with but the great thing about the Vette is that it can be worked on and modified so well. During the mod process, if you choose ever to go down that road you'll find that those problems all go away. For example, Hawk pads will fix the squeeling brakes - the trunk thing you mentioned happens on occasion but I think it has to do with the electronics/signal from the button on the FOB and button in the car to the lock in that sometimes it doesn't signal it. I have an 05 and sometimes have to take the key and open it but hardly ever. Most mods though fix standard issues but again, if you want to go down that road.

A modded Vette is just an amazing machine. GM gives us the mold then we create the real Corvette experience!

The poster said he has 10,000 miles left on his warranty on a 2010 GS. Does not make sense to me.

You have a "problem" vehicle. I would discuss this with the dealership management indicating a need for a joint meeting with the GM Regional Manager.......especially if you fit your residence state lemon law (each state is slightly different). I wouldn't wait to long....the process "drags".

It seems the OP is having defect problems that shouldn't need to be corrected with mods..
I think many of us buy the corvette so we DON'T have to modify it and lose the warranty. It's fast enough and handles well enough in stock form to be enjoyed and have peace of mind. That was my appeal..

Sorry to hear about your problems but look at the bright side. In a year or two you will have a whole new car piece by piece.
