275 or 295 front tire with a 345 rear tire?
About to order new tires, nitto invo, going to order sometime today. I have the rear z06 quarter panels and have invo 345/30zr19 tires in the rear, my fronts need replacing, should I go with 275/35zr18 or 295/35zr18 nitto invo tires for the front? I will be running oem z06 wheels and already have z06 fenders and bumper in my living room. My front tires are downright dangerous right now so want to order soon. I was thinking since the rears are 20mm bigger then stock, maybe its better the fronts are 20mm bigger then stock sizing?

To keep it simple,You don't have to go with the 295's. For the street I'd stay with the 275's.The widebodies have enough issues with sandblasted bodies with OEM tire sizes.

I wont get any active handling issues since the rear is 20mm bigger then stock size yet the front is a stock size? Right now I run a 255/40 with normal front, so the sidewall height is almost the same as a 295 345 setup

Active handling issues wouldn't present themselves unless the disparity was in overall tire diameter, not necessarily width. Going wider or narrower front to back, as long as maintaining an overall front-to-rear diameter ratio within a few percent of stock, won't be noticed by the car's sensors. That said, just go tried-and-true and stay 275. I don't see any tangible advantage to going to a 295, really. The extra weight will merely affect steering feel when cornering and stress front end components that much more, little as it may be. I ran a 295 up front for awhile under my stock non-z fenders, and clearance notwithstanding, just the heft up front really seemed to tax the steering. And that was with super light 18x11 CCW classics.

Depends on what you want to do with the car.
If, for roadcourse work, then you'll want 295's as the C6 is way under tired up front.
If, for drag racing, neither as a skinny would be best.
If, for just cruising around, then a 275 set will be fine.

Hardly. If roadcourse work is what he was intending to do, he wouldn't be buying Nitto Invos. On the track, what compound/hardness you select will be exponentially more important than merely 20 millimeters of street tire. Some of the fastest SCCA guys out there are running on 275's.

My current rear tire has a sidewall of 103.5mm, my current front tire 255/40 has a sidewall of 102mm.
Stock z06 tires have a sidewall of 97.5mm rear and 96.25 front
So if I went with a 275 I would have 103.5mm rear and 96.25 front

275's .
I run the Invo's at 275/35/18 and 345/30/19 with no issues on my C6 Z06.
The 295 is too wide for the 18x9.5 rim IMHO, and the sidewall will be pulled in at the tire bead (one of our local guys has this on his Z06). There's no performance advantage of running the 295 on the street, and possibly some negatives if you run them at an HPDE.
