Default Jacking Pucks

Has anyone ever used these from Mid-America, Corvette Jack Point Lift Plates?

When I first bought my Vette there was a DIY thread about Jacking pucks and a lot of hype about needing them.

Well I made a set from hockey pucks & eye bolts, however I have yet to need these things. I have a lot of work done on my car, but the only hands that ever touch it are expert Corvette tuners/mechanics who know what they're doing.

But *just in case* those pucks lie waiting in the cubby hole for that rare event when I just might need them

Have them but haven't used them yet. Wanted to install & leave in place but mechanic advised against stating would scrape on speed bumps, etc. Talked to manufacturer & he said could be left in place & scraping most likely problem on lowered Vette. Not sure, if did scrape, would only damage the plate, not the frame. Still considering permanent install. What do you think?

What's the purpose of the eye bolts? Once they are between the car and the jack they aint going nowhere, right?

That's true but the eye bolts hold the pucks in place. It makes jacking easier.
