Top 10 Most Collectible Cars of the Future...
...according to "McKeel Hagerty, a car afficionado and CEO of Hagerty Insurance, the leading insurer of rare and collectible automobiles and boats".
Yes, the ZR1 is on the list, which contains no real surprises. This list shouldn't be taken as gospel. It's just one man's opinion. It makes for some fun discussion is all...enjoy...

Just a guess, but mine would be the 2004 Com/Edition Z06. I believe in 30 yrs the C5, just as the C2, will be the money cars. C5's remained true to the Corvette Tradition. Just an example would be the revolving headlights, 400 horses. The C6 (and I have a C6) look too European for me. IMHO Save those C5's. HAPPY HOLIDAYS

We don't need no stinkin flip-up lights
Exposed headlights are so much better than those half-azzed flip ups. Plastic gears and always broke. The C6 is the best designed sports car in the world bar-none PERIOD. I have owned every generation of Corvette except the C5. Currently own a '62 '67 and '06. The C5 is a great car no doubt but, the C6 is so much better IMO.

Not a bad list at all. I like it... If I were to choose my own list of top 10, the Viper, Mercedes or Veyron would not make MY list but of course that;s personal preference..
That is a pretty cool list though...
I'd put the Ferrari F60 (Enzo) as #1....

I just watched Barrett Jackson's auction on speed and a Veyron sold for $700k. I think it was 2 years old with 12k miles on it. SLR sold for about $375k, 600 miles on it.
He practically did pick the most rare cars out there. You don't see many Enzos, F-40s, Porsche GT, Ford GT, Reventons, Veyrons, Mac F1s and even ZR1s/Vipers on the road.

Wow. Sounds like someone took a bath on both cars. Surprising. Gosh, what's the monthly payment on a $700K loan? Maybe I can fit it into the budget (a 50-year loan, that is).

To be sure, those are some of the most expensive cars. But, I think in reality, My bet is on the Toyota Prius, Hundai's, AMC Pacer, Yugo, Ford Fiesta, Puegeot Duck, and Caddy Cimarron. Not that I have owned or ever wll own any on the list. LOL

Nothing like losing $1 mil in two years. The announcers was wondering if the car had a bad history for its low price.

I don't find anything to disagree with on the list. There are others that could be included, such as the Bentley Continental, but if you have decided to draw the line at ten (or twelve or twenty or whatever), someone's favorite is always going to be left off. I disagree with the Toyota Prius ever being "collectible". It will surely be a curiosity, but collectible? By whom?

Don't Blink...But if you can find a mint condition Yugo or pinto it is worth 10 times what it cost new!!! Why, because no one ever garaged them. they were cheap and driven to the junk yard. look how many people buy high dollar cars and put them away thinking they will be $$$$$ down the road. I think the mopar cars of the 60's and 70's are bringing the best $$$ right now, and they were mass produced! Paying over 100K for a ZR1 is not an investment. You will make more money putting 100k in the bank for 25 years than you will ever make by putting the car in a garage! Just my 2 cents here!

Interesting that the Z06 "427 cu inch" was not on the list. Guess there can only be one Vette on the list, and it's got to be the ZR1 for sure.
