OBDII with my head unit
This seems to work real well.
I'm using the TVout app on my iPod Touch, an Innovate OT-2 wireless scanner, and DashCommand software.

That is pretty cool! I have the Innovate OT-2 as well as a Pioneer 120BT head unit. Does the TVout on the iPhone/iTouch require connecting to the Aux in on the pioneer or does iPhone output through the Pioneers iPod/iPhone input cable? I assume TVout still requires Jail break? This gives me a good reason to mess with the OT-2! Thanks for sharing this!

This is way cool! I have been considering a set-up similar to this and like yours. I noticed you are using the DashCommand. Why not use the Logworks Mobile App that comes with the OT-2? Are you logging any data? If so, how are you transferring the file to your PC and what software are you using to view the data.
Thanks for posting.

However, when logging data I can't very well pay attention to a small screen, whether it's my iPhone or nav screen.
All I do is log all the data I want, email the file to myself, then open it with their software for a laptop or desktop. You can download the laptop/desktop software here:

The OT-2 is a very nice device. You can scan codes, clear a CEL, view some stuff on your iPhone (or aftermarket nav screen), log a bunch of different parameters from sensors the OBD II supports, analyze the logged data on your iPhone, or better yet email the files to yourself to view and analyze on your computer.

I am logging data and sending it to my e-mail.

That is very cool. I wish GM had a similar interface (at the very least the ability to retrieve a DTC that set a CEL) through their navigation system...or even the DIC.
