XM Deals Still Alive
I got my invoice form XM this week and called today. I just selected the cancel option and the lady was easy to work with, got the same deal as last year and it was for a total of $106 and for our daily driver this works as I listen to lots of different channels

i do the zwinback 5 month special for $19.95. you have to call before the 5 months are over to renew. my other 2 cars with XM radios i always get the $77.00/yr. and just pay the extra $2 for sending a bill. FWIW.

A customer no-service rep at XM told me they are not allowed to discuss or suggest any discounted packages unless the customer asks or brings the subject up.

Paid $77 each for both my Vette and Tahoe this time last year. The renewal invoice just showed up in the mail for $154.00 per car. I called and told them I wanted to cancel both. They immediately offered the same $77 deal from last year on both vehicles. Invoice is on it's way...no way no how will they get a credit card number.

Your favorite stations, commercial free, full coverage in the CONUS, even in the remotest areas without any cellular coverage?
Oh, do tell. . .

It doesn't matter if they have your credit card # or not. If you don't pay it, it'll just go to a collection agency. All 3 of my cars renew this year. I paid for 2-3 year deal before so I'm not paying much more if any to keep it. They even charged me more when I traded in my Envoy for my Yukon because the Envoy had the "main" radio on the account. They wouldn't let me move it to my Vette stating it must be the oldest car (the one you are most likely to trade in).

I did $77 promo for three consecutive years, without any b.s. royalty fees. Make sure you call just before your term is up and ask to cancel. Once in the cancellation dept. ask for the $77 deal. If you wait after your term, they will automatically invoice you for the going rate. Never give them your credit card, invoice only.

IMO XM/Sirius is over priced, rude and unethical. I dealt with them for several years and had one hell of a time getting them to stop charging me after I canceled.
You like them? Good luck!

They called me the other day and said they were going to activate XM for free for 30 days. Told them it took me 6 months to get them to quit charging my credit card before and did not want it on any of my 4 cars with XM. They said "well it is free so we are going to activate it" and I politely told him if he did I would sue them. He then got the message and I asked him to remove my name and numbers from there records. They are snakes.IMHO

Three months later I got a call from a collection agency. After about an hour of phone calls I finally got it cleared up, but that is what you have to expect from XM.
Two weeks ago I got a bill for $549 for service on a vehicle that I have not even owned for four years. Another 30 minute call and they "agreed" to cancel the charges. Once again I asked if I had a zero balance and was told yes. Last week I got a new bill for $5.13 because they did not credit the entire amount. I haven't called yet to clear that up - and even though I shouldn't have to, I'll eventually get a call from a collection agency again if I don't.
