I really dont know for sure but I recently saw a Post where it said the Assembly Plant would be down from 12/23 to 1/18. I am sure someone else will chime in with more info...

Last day of production is today.
The plant will be closed from 12/23 to 1/17.

Production resumes on 1/18.

That has just changed again. BG will be closed until Monday Jan 24th according to the NCM. I was in contact with them yesterday and this morning for scheduling my ZR1 delivery.

I was told a month ago by NCM that the last day prior to the holiday shutdown would be Dec 23rd. But the entire shutdown schedule is now clearly in flux with what I have been told in the past couple of days. Fortunately my car was built last Monday.

OK, I just have to ask.

Why was the previous reopen day a Tuesday and the current reopen day a Monday?

I thought it was for the New Year's Day holiday. But doesn't seem to be the reason.

The information you get on the Bowling Green Assembly plant website is specific to the operation of public tours. The plant was going to reopen on the 17th but not resume tours until the 18th. This is common for the plant to not have a public tour offering on the day that they resume production operations after an extended shutdown and fairly common after the holiday shutdown. Particularly If they are going to empty the line before going out on shutdown. There really wouldn't be anything to see on the first day back as production resumes and the pipeline fills back up again. I suspect that you will see an amendment to the BGAP website adding the week of the 17th to the tours unavailable dates and tours resume on the 25th of January.

Was at the plant last week watching my 2011 TR GSC get built, I live in the region and the last day of production is today, Wed, the 22nd and Allied will have all completed vehicles taken off plant premises on the 23rd. My car arrived at the dealer yesterday and I pick it up Xmas eve. The color again, "Santa Red." Happy holidays to all of the Corvette forum members.
