Default Waxers please step in

I'm the kind of guy that throws on a coat of NTX. And it's party time!!

If i wanted to go for broke and spend the weekend with the beast. What would one do? In steps help advise.

1. wash with dawn
2. clay bar
3. polish
4. sealer
5. I don't know if any is right? also please include brands. Where does Rejex fall into the process................

Wash, Clay, Polish. and Protect.

wash -- Optimum, Poorboys, Duragloss
clay --- Mothers Kit, Megs Kit, Clay Magic Kit
polish --- Menzerna SIP and 085rd (or Wolfgang TSR and FG) by random orbital
(if you choose not to machine polish, consider a paint cleanser to at least prep paint ie Pinnacle or P21S)
Protect -- Rejex (synthetic paint sealant)

and for personal prep and hints:

I wax my car every three months (I park indoors and wash it once a week), but I get the car professionally detailed once a year. If I were you, I'd spend the cash and leave it to the pros...

Follow the process by Autogeek and you will be fine, the Rejex will last at least 6 months.

Default Color

Did you mention the color of your vette? Over the years, I have discovered that differentr color cars react differently to some polish's...would like to know your car color to give you any advice. I know, some will say, this guy is nuts, but trust me, after some forty years of doing this detailing thing on boats, cars and planes, think I have some, well yhou know..

For me, it's:

Dawn
Clay Bar
NXT on painted surfaces
Rejex on carbon fiber spoilers/sideskirts, windshield, and clear-coated CCW rims

Re-do the NXT at least once a month
Re-do the Rejex every 3-4 months

Professional detail at ShowroomFX (Dallas,TX) once a year or so.

Car is Atomic Orange:

I love 1st Eagle Gel Wax and so does Car Craft Mag. 1st Eagle used nano technology to make the carnuba molecules smaller to fill in scratches better. No drying time, apply and immediately wipe off. You can layer immediately per their tech support. Its 21st century technology and only $10!

I follow the Autogeeks formula, they got me started. The day after I have sealed the Vette I follow up with Wolfgang Fuzion Wax for a awesome shine, it goes on and off in 30 minutes and then I do this every month or so

Just do what the "GeeK" sez and you will be in great shape.

I have a black C-6 and have become quite proficient at detailing. It just depends on how much time you are willing to spend and what the level of results you are after.

In respect to all that have replied, THANKS!

I think there is a difference between filling in the cracks or polishing the clear? When is it time to take the clear down. Maybe when the filler isn't working???
