What don't you like about a stock C6?

A trunk that actually opens without a crowbar.
An interior at least as nice as a Kia.
A sound system as least as nice as a dodge ram.
An engine that idles without piston slap.
Non-electric door handle with optional key entry.
A price that reflects the actual product.
Don't get me wrong, I like my Vette, but ... it is over priced and over hyped. Many other cars have better seating positions, better ride, better interior for a better price. It just would'nt be a Corvette.

The only thing I don't like about the C6 is the factory sound system.
You would think for what Chevy is charging us for a Corvette these
days that a decent sounding system would come standard with each car.
Corvette owners shouldn't be forced to go to the aftermarket for a
quality sound system.
The factory sound system in my base 08 coupe is so embarrassing bad
that I have to turn it off whenever I have a passenger with me.
Otherwise I would get
this look from them...

funny some of the comments, not saying,,,,,,,just saying. What i would like to see is a gauge that shows just how much of the cars potential you are actually using. Some guys have never floored it or been in a tight corner. Really a waste if you ask me

Correct the cursed warning that sounds the horn if you leave the keyless entry fob in the car. The system's false warnings drive me and my neighbors crazy when we don't open the door far enough. This is correctable!
I know that some of our supporting vendors have good sound and heat insulation packages for us to add, but why doesn't chevy cover this?
The buzzes and vibration noises in the dash and cowl come and go. I can rely on them to be on good behaviour when I visit the dealer, however. Please fix this.

Hmm, let me see, one of the worlds most advanced suspensions. A car that can do 190mph, low 4 sec 60mph mark, low 12's in the qtr. First place in autocross the last 2 years, novice and stock. Gets 28mpg on the highway and the looks you get from people are just priceless. Oh, and the whole package for the low 40's. The only thing I don't like is I don't have a vert, Z06 and ZR1 in the garage.

I have to disagree with a couple of these comments.
My 08 sound system sounds great to me.
Seat and driving comfort? Drive a 66 or 67 and compare. The new ones are luxurious in comparison
The raised brake lever? You should have an automatic reflex to grab that if the brakes go screwy. If you do you'll be glad it's raised.
My light switch seems to have a manual setting if I am not mistaken but the automatic headlights work fine, (I wouldn't mind manual lights though, simpler)
Like the ABS and active handling? I wouldn't mind the active handling if its complexity didn't make it something that is going to be an expensive repair item all too often as it already has for me and real drivers don't need it. The ABS doesn't work at low speeds, it keeps you from stopping.
Controls in the steering wheel add more contacts to a rotary contact plate which can lose continuity and then the switches die.
As an engineer I know that more complexity means less reliability so many of the things I would change take complexity away and make the car more reliable. It's a lot harder to lock yourself in your car with manual door releases than electronic, as I already have once.

the only thing i didn't like about my 2008 was the tupperware interior - good lord - a world class sportscar with third world interior! my wife's accord has better interior than my C6. several months ago, i was looking at the interior of a late model jaguar xk. now jags are either over-engineered or under-engineered maintenance nightmares, but i've got to give the brits credit here - they can do interior right. the corvette's 4LT trim package is better, but it's nothing more than a band-aid fix. i hope GM gets it right on the C7.
Right on!

The only thing I wish these cars had is Cooled Seats.
Other than that, anything today is going to have something someone feels is stupid, or could be better .. blah blah blah.
I've always had GM vehicles and Yup, GM is what it is.
Sometimes I have to scratch my head and say, what are they thinking
GM has come a long way in keeping up with the Jones.
And Yes, GM still has a long way to go.
I do like having all the gadgets and get them all.
But, do not buy GM for all the cup holders and gadgets.
I buy them for the way the drive train and major structural components are Designed and built.
In My Opinion,... when I compare that aspect of a GM vehicle to what the other Automakers offer, GM is at the top.
I can't find much to complain about with my Corvette, in comparison to all my other GM vehicles.
It has the best fit and finish, inside and out of all my GM vehicles past and present.
More importantly is has the biggest thrill factor and enjoyment for me .
Maybe that's not saying much since it is only a comparison, and only My opinion

Yeah, cooled seats would be nice, I guess. It certainly isn't what I consider a problem or something I don't like.
