Ever been locked INSIDE your Vette?
This is crazy but I picked my '08 from the dealer after having TSB work done on the two seals in the tranny. When I walked up to the car the driver's window was down and the FOB was on the console.
"No FOB" was indicated and it wouldn't start until I exited the car and re-entered. I drove to dinner and when I came back to it the lights came on bright but it wouldn't do anything "EXCEPT" lock me inside the car. The door button, door lock, windows and OnStar would not work? OnStar said this was a first!
I was locked in there for almost ten minutes, then the alarm activated and it started???
Headed back to the dealer in the morning, any idea what happened?
Thanks!

It has been said that funny things can happen when the battery itself gets low on juice. Sounds like someone left something on for awhile and the battery is run down. Have them check the battery. Has the car ever not started before?

You know about the emergency door release levers next to the seats....yes?
Likely just a run down battery. Charge it......or replace it if appropriate.

Just went back to it and there is a very faint buzzing sound when I push the Start,Acc,Stop switch and the brake pedal is very stiff?

I've haven't had to take mine to a dealer for service yet but this is a perfect example of why I dread ever having to. They fix one thing (hopefully) and screw up something totally unrelated to the problem it was there for in the first place.

A few years back I was trapped. The negative terminal on the battery came loose and the drivers side sill protector was a bit out of place blocking the emergency release lever. I had to crawl across the console and exit through the passenger door which is very difficult in these cars.

I have had several situations like this. Both while I was in the car and while trying to get in. Probably happens once every month. Not a battery problem, just some gremlins. More annoying is when I have a armfull of groceries and the trunk will not open. This happens about 3x per year.

Unbelievable. Everyone with a brain knows you kick out the window(s) when that happens.
Peace, out.

I got locked in a Corvette at my local dealership. While I was looking I got into the show room Corvette and closed the door. I went to get out and the door wouldn't open. The salesmen had no idea about the lever. He had to get the sales manager who knew about the lever. The manager said " If You're stuck, you bought it".

If it was a real emergency situation, and the emergency levers were not functional, (they should be as they are mechanical, not electrical), there is the removalble roof panel to consider, if so equipped.

Low battery seems to be the most likely cause of all your problems except the memory issue.
BTW, how do you "Reset the FOB"? Sounds like the dealer didn't have a clue either.
