Default Some of The latest work to come out of our custom paint and hydrographic shop

Hi Everyone,

Here our some pics we got in from two of our customers we custom painted and hydrocladed parts for.

The first pics of of a Lemans Blue we did with a hydrographic pattern we call splash.

The last group of pics are a Precision Red we did with a hydrographic pattern that is a heavy marble

Let me know what you think and if you have any questions. You can find other threads about our paint work on the forum or you can visit our website www.vetteworksintl.com

Thanks,
Bryan

I really like the Marble look on the Red, both examples are very creative and unique to what you see everyday.

Thanks,

We can basically do hundreds of patterns over top of any C5 or C6 Color we paint. We have carbon fiber look patterns, marble and granite finishes, even crazy things like molten lava look, skulls, snakeskin and water drops. LOL we can do just plain solid paint work also!.

Very cool.

Am I to assume that you can take any photo and 'warp' it into your process?

If so, it opens the door for a lot of originality.

Well done.

We are only limited to the patterns that are available to us. After the part is based with whatever color the customer wants
The part is then dipped in a hydrovat transferring the pattern on the part. The printing film is laid onto the water surface of the dipping unit. The carrier substance on which the pattern is printed dissolves while the pattern itself remains floating on the water. When the part is dipped into the vat, the pattern is transferd on to the part. After that the part is then clearcoated and wetsanded and buffed.

How long have your pieces been in an engine compartment and how well do they withstand the heat generated therein?

We have had parts on cars for over 5 years with no fade or yellowing. Even Daily Drivers. We use PPG paints and Clears found on most show car paint finishes and we add UV and heat inhibitors into the clear. You won't have any problems. Our parts may be on a lot of trailer queens and SEMA event cars, but we finish them to last!

Very nice work indeed... If any of your customers want to do something custom inside the headlight (bezel, body colored part) let me know. I will be stocking new black bezels and have replacement lens. I can open this lights with no damage to the housing.

I may be getting away from my carbon fiber bezels in the near future and will look at what your doing and maybe we can do the first headlights.

Good stuff!

(for a highly modded car the $100 bill theme seems aprapos)

I think the body color match carbon fiber look would be awsome on the inside of a set of C6 headlights. The marble wood look good also... and the skull pattern. The possibilties would be endless.
