Although I was a huge fan of the hash marks when I was shopping, now that I've got it, I love my TR GS without the hash marks, and have no plans to ever put them on....but that being said...you should get what you paid for...the Heritage Package. Swapping out the factory stripes would be like swapping out the chrome factory wheels, or clear targa top or something. If there was some specific allowance negotiated, that would be one thing, but you bought a car with the package....you should get the package. They can get the hash marks from GM....I'd push the issue (if I was into the stripes).
And please understand....I'm not foisting my opinion on the hash marks...get the car YOU want!

Go in and ask the dealer for a copy of the invoice if he didn't already provide you one. With that in hand, tell him you want the stripes as they are listed on the invoice as part of the Heritage package.
Personally I like the stripes but some folks don't. To each his own.
They owe you the stripes and they should replace them! They are pretty expensive so you should not have to purchase them again.

I understand everything you are saying. I also don't want non factory stripes even if I have to pay for them. I know the deal I made and will live with it happily. But I will inquire about the stripes that were supposed to come with it. I think that us far.

Just an update. Dealer agreed the hash marks came with the car and belonged to me. At least the sales manager did. Some of the other employees had trouble grasping the idea even though it was dealer installed, it already came with the car and not another add on option. One thought the factory forgot to put them on and I was out of luck.
Finally got to the sales manager and he said, enough already, just tell the parts genius to order whatever color he wants and put them on.
The car was supposed to come with red and that us what I chose on white car. Black/red interior.
I think it will look good.
I'm glad I was armed with info learned here before I went in.
