Has anybody had problems driving up/down hill?
Hey everybody,
I'm in the process of picking up my Vette as soon as I find the one I want. I have a nice hill in my driveway that I have to climb. I currently drive a BMW 745 which is high up so I don't have any problems with the car getting scraped underneath.
But with the Vette I know its not more then a few inches off the ground and this might be an issue.
Does anybody have any problems with their Vette when it comes to hills?

A little scrape in and out of my driveway many days. I found that I can usually eliminate the scrape by cutting it at a slight angle (i.e. so that one of the front tires starts climbing the hill just a little before the air dam gets there).

Thaks DigialW sounds like if I cut at an angle I might be alright. I just hate the feeling knowing I would be scrapping my car everytime I come home or pull out the driveway.

Eliminated any scrapping by entering and backing out of the driveway at an extreme angle, and doing so very slowly.

I scrape my air dam on my GS every time I exit my driveway, even though I turn sharply. It is just something that some of us must live with if we want to drive our Vettes!

Mine, stock height, touches the front spoiler sometimes when the road has a slight dip. I have been very careful and the lower body doesn't have a mark. I can't imagine a lowered car.

Everyone scraps there front air dam occasionally but thats not really a problem because no damage is done. What concerned me after lowering my car was high centering and cracking the rocker panels. I installed rocker protection rails and now even if I do get high centered no damage is done.
