I can't tell from the picture thread if the yellow is more of a canary yellow or if it is more intense like the Rally Yellow of the Camaro. If it is more intense, I really like it. Of course how could you not like a Torch Red one. My driveway is about a half mile long. The last 100 yards are concrete, but the rest is a crushed concrete. When the weather gets dry, it can get dusty. My current Vette is Pewter and it doesn't show the dust. I'm thinking that the yellow won't show as much as the red, but that may or may not be a decision maker. I also feel that red will have better resale, but not sure about that. What is the opinion of you guys? Thank you and I'm sorry about another color thread. I have been tossing this back and forth for days now and I need to make up my mind.

Please vote in the poll if you will. Thank you.
Red has a better resale, will show dust more ,will show chips more, and yes ,yellow attracts bugs into the interior

I'm not too worried about the bugs, but the dust and paint chips are food for thought. It looks like the red is pulling way ahead of the yellow though. I know that I am paying for my car and I really shouldn't care about what others think, but since I like both colors so much, it would mean something for other people to like it too.

VY is about $900 more. I just bought a torch red but my first choice was VY. I couldn't find a 6-speed manual VY so I settled for TR. I'm happy as hell with either color.

Torch Red for me by a fraction. I faced the same dilemma last year when I ordered my GS from Kerbeck. I went there to order a VY GS and came out with an order for a Torch Red GS after seeing them both side by side!

You can't go wrong with either color but I never looked back once I made the TR decision.

That's a GREAT problem to have. You really can't go wrong either way, but I voted yellow.

To the OP

I have had both Millennium Yellow on a C5 and now Victory Red on my C6 Z06. I like both colors. I've also had a black C6 coupe. The only thing with the Yellow is that the back end of the car will really show the exhaust, tire residue, and the road crap after just a couple hundred miles!!! The dark partials really pop against the yellow!!! It's not as noticeable on the Red. The others are right in that the yellow really attracts the bugs. Some summer days it is a real challenge to even wash it without having bugs all around you and the car!!

Good luck on your color choice!! If you like a Candy Apple type red then you need to check out the Crystal Red Metallic!!!!

That's what I would like, see them together side by side in the same light at the same time. The dealers (3) for miles around me don't even have any GS's and only a couple of base coupes. The coupes are white and black, so that isn't helping either. What was it that helped make your decision? There didn't happen to be a CR one there too when you were dealing?

After 9 months I see no chips at all - but I did install the APSIS front guards which is a must for widebody cars. Dust does not seem to be an issue, at least not compared to my Silverado SS which is black. Another pic:

This color is really growing on me. What are the CR owners take on showing dust and paint chips with this color? I hadn't thought about the VY showing all the dirt on the rear after a couple of hundred miles. The TR is so beautiful too, but I wouldn't mind being a little different. I'm getting more and more confused....but like one poster said....what a problem to have!

If possible, you should visit a large dealer with several colors in stock. That is what helped me with my decision (CGM vs CRM). In the end it's a matter of what you like. Tough decision.

You must have a different MR, mine show dust 15 minutes after I detail it. I won't even mention pollen.

I too wanted yellow..BAD! I love it on this car..however no yellow in 1LT available for me..so, I went Torch Red. Not really what I wanted however...I sat in the dealership and looked at it on another car inside then outside then...a little longer..and wow...I am REALLY happy I got it. I like the way it looks in the garage and out at night and in the day..and well all the time. LOL!

It just seems to shift colors a bit depending on the light so, I vote by one of each!!!

Either way..your getting an awesome car!
