Is the windscreen for the c6 convertible worth the money? I love driving with the top down and even at 70 mph, the wind is not really that bad. Does the wind screen make that big of a difference?

I think they are worth having on a long trip but they can be kind of a PITA. It is especially worth it if you have a passenger you want to talk to over a long trip. Can you do this without one, sure, but it is a bit quieter with one.

100%. I don't like the feeling of having the windscreen behind me. Car feels much more open without it...the way a Vert should. And I have never had a problem with the amount of turbulence in the car at speed. The SL Benz has much more turbulence on the highway...probably because the windshield is more vertical.

IMO - NO!
A windscreen is ridiculous and looks silly. I laugh every time I see one

I have never had one, but I have thought about it a time or two. The issue I run in to is with my wife's hair. She gets crabby working on her bouffant for several hours (so it seems), and then getting her art work destroyed by the wind.

Got to be a contrarian in every crowd. I have one and I use it - it works.

I have one for my 08.
I hardly ever use it, truth to tell.
It's actually more useful around town, at lower speeds, than on the highway. 70, 80, 90 MPH nothing's going to help. It would be like an umbrella in a hurricane.
At slower speeds it helps keep the wind out and it doesn't look dorky like driving around with your top down and your windows up. (OMG, did I just say that out loud? )
The appearance of the GM version is a bit of a plus, because it has the word CORVETTE silk screened on the rear facing side and the frame is more stout. It looks good when your car is parked and people are looking at it.
The more expensive GM version is the pick of the litter because it's mounting brackets have a kill switch wired into the roof actuating circuitry that keeps you from accidentally raising the top with the windscreen in place. The roof won't clear it.

As much as they might cut down on wind noise at speed, they'd be a major PITA when it comes to raising the power top. Before you can do that you have to stop the car, get out, pull the screen free of its mounts, toss it in the trunk, and get back in the car to raise the top. EVERY TIME.

Seems like the wives are the ones with the problems requiring a windscreen. Since I don't have a wife, I feel confident I'll be okay continuing without one; a wife and a windscreen. Be well.
