I finally got mine installed and it is awesome, looks factory and best if all it's outa the way. I was told that if I post pix, there would be a rebate of $10 sent, so here they are, hopefully it's true and if not, oh well I still love this thing!!

All of my V1s in all of my cars are on the dash with velcro. Very easy to take it off when you are parking and laying in on the passangers floor. Easy to take one out of one car and take it along as a spare when going on a trip.

It's just as easy with this mount and you don't have to mess up your dashboard with Velcro.

I own the mount and love it, but here's a question I haven't seen addressed yet.

Can the entire mount be removed when you buy your next C6, and re-installed on your new car? The install requires pushing the mount and compressing the foam as it clicks into place behind the mirror, and as I recall this took a lot of effort. My question is it even possible to overcome the lip that now holds it in place?

I just installed the mount for my V1 RD. After years of using the suction cups and having the wires routed through the A pillar and watching them fall out of the windshield header occasionally, I am much happier with this setup. I would highly recommend this product. It looks great in my 2012 LT4 GS. Only issue I had was that the power cord that I purchased from them was a drop too short and I couldnt use a cable tie to secure it. There's really no slack and it can barely be seen from inside or outside the car. I'm sure there will never be a n issue, but I would have liked to have secured the PC somehow. I highly recommend this item to any Corvette owner that use a radar detector.
