Default Tunnel Plate Bolt Torque?

I've seen several comments about bolts in the tunnel plate coming loose (or were never tightened at the factory), what's the correct torque on a 2009 base Coupe Z51 A6 ?

Thanks!

I copied this off elite engineerings website

Starting at the center of the tunnel and working side to side and then front to
back, torque the screws to 89 in.- lbs. in. (yes, that's 89 Inch-Pounds or 7.4
Foot-Pounds). Don't over-torque as the screw heads are likely to break off

Also, when you are done? Do it again and recheck the torque. The first ones will be loose.

89 inch pounds means NO AIR TOOLS.

I checked mine last Sunday, all were loose, I snugged them all up with a 1/4" ratchet by feel. Most took 1/2 turn, a few took more, one took two turns! I was amazed how loose they were. My car didn't make any noises but after reading about this I checked anyway. I don't know how you are supposed to torque them upside down, much less with that small of actual torque. Snug them up and check them when you change your oil.

89 inch pounds is what I torque mine to.

"Snug" by hand tightening should do nicely I would think. A bit of loctite probably wouldn't hurt.

Torqued my Elite tunnel plate up to the 89 in/lb spec a couple of weekends ago. They had been 'tight' but all needed about 2 turns to be truly snug.

The fact that it's on a car and not a lug-nut should mean that.
