How about these. Do they look ghey? I happen to like all brands of cars and have owned many different ones including a C6, C6Z06, 996TT, CaymanS and 997S. Although, I am not a fan of the Boxster, Porsche is most certainly not ghey.
Remember fellas, the Corvette is tied to the Barbi doll.....not a Porsche.

Sorry, but those cars don't do a thing for me.

I have been weighing this same question and having a difficult time coming to a conclusion. I have driven Boxster, Boxster S, Boxster Spyder, Z06, and Grand Sport convertible in the last three weeks. I don't understand the emotional ranting that seems to permeate this discussion. To me, you drive them all and decide which one, or another choice, is best for you. All are fine cars, and so are the 911s that I drove. I don't equate my personality with the car that I drive (I'm not, thank God, that insecure!), and I'm not looking for the fastest 1/4 mile (get a fuel dragster) or the fastest road-course car (get a formula one). And if you think that sexual preference or other attributes are somehow reflected by automobile choice, you need to find a competent psychiatrist, quickly. I am looking for a responsive, fun-to-drive sports car that is comfortable to drive on long trips. I liked the Boxster's handling and interior finish and the Grand Sport's power and braking. I was disappointed by the Vette's interior, which seems to be tailored to what is now (unfortunately) the typically overweight American. What surprised me about the Boxster was a clutch that was nowhere near as smooth and precise as the Vette's (I have tried several of each with same results, and yet I've seen no comments about this) and the considerable noise and vibration of the Boxster, which was not acceptable to me and made for an unpleasant experience. By and large, that is what turned me off on the Porsche and became a major factor. What scares me most about the Vette is service, but my local Cadillac dealer is first rate, works on Corvettes regularly (no doubt others share my concern and experiences), and certainly offers far superior customer service when compared to the Chevy dealers. So, in the end, I'm going with the Grand Sport, but I certainly can understand why others might prefer the Porsche. Their choice does not make them evil or stupid. It's all about preference, and theirs are as valid as mine—or yours.

I'll be at Summit Point this Friday reeling the Germans in again. They look fast- they talk fast- they look at my stock car and wonder why they spent the extra $$$.

I've been buying new Chevrolets since 1986 and have consistently had good service, and not that many visits, because the cars have been almost trouble free.
Porsche customer service? Sure. I'd EXPECT to get my butt smooched if I paid $75K for a $45K car.

Anyone on the fence I invite you to Summit Point this Friday. Watch the black STOCK GrandSport. See if I get passed or otherwise.
And I SUCK as a driver.

Wow, this forum is full of haters. I traded in a Boxster for the new Vette 3 months ago. I loved the Boxster for what it is (can out handle the Vette in its sleep) but lacked the power of the vette. The Boxster is definitely built better and I had no problems for the 4 years I owned it. I have already noticed numerous poor build quality issues with the vette...BUT...I am in love with this car. The engine and tranny are unbeatable. I don't regret for a second owning the Boxster and don't regret for a second going to the Vette. (quality problems are 1) cracks in the black sidewalls in the engine compartment, missing push pins in wheel well, paint job is missing in places(!!!)). Again, none of this tempers my feelings toward the Vette and I will enjoy the hell out of it like I did the Boxster. By the way, no one has ever dared call me a girl for driving the Boxster (at least not to my face)

Complaining about GM dealership customer service is, for the most part, learned behavior. After you read about it long enough, you start to believe it.
