2007 C6 Vs. 2010 GS. HELP!!!!!
Ok so I have a beautiful silver 07 with 17k miles on it. It's fully loaded 3lt package. No engine mods except some exterior dress up items. But I am adding the dual mode exhaust soon.
Here's my dilemma
I made the mistake of going to Kerbeck while in AC last weekend and saw about 15 lonely 2010 GS's sittin in the showroom. As you guys know the 2010's r on the way out. GM is offering 0.00% financing on them which is unheard of for a Corvette. Ok so what do I do???? Should I sell my 07 and go for the 10 GS ? Or keep what I have and do some mods to get my slvr beauty to where I need to get it perhaps also by doing this I can wait for the c7 and then pull the trigger on that. If I do that I would have had a corvette in the last 3 generations which is kinda cool being that I am still very young. Dilemmas dilemmas. What does one do??

GS is a very different handler, so if your into that or tracking the car, the GS will be an improvement. Otherwise, the proverb: "don't fix it if it isn't broke" suggests keeping your fine car and saving the cash to trade up later.
BTW: MacMulkin seems to be a better deal and great to work with over Kerbeck in our area if you decide to go for a new car.

As a socitey, we always crave the newest in anything. We're never satisfied with what we have and thus keep the economy rolling. It's a capitalistic dream. Get the GS if you want and can afford it. It doesn't matter how nice your 07 is if you're not happy with it. And if you have to convince yourself you're happy with it, you not! When the c7 comes out, you can always trade in the GS. That's what we do!
Yep, you should do what you want if it doesn't create a financial hardship. Life is too short.

GS gets lots Z06 parts/design tweaks over old Z51. The biggest coming from the wider rubber and you will notice the advantage. Car and Driver wrote about the two cars too:
"Two seconds—that’s the most important figure to know when you’re considering the credentials of the new, 2010 Corvette Grand Sport. Those two ticks represent how much quicker the latest track-fortified Vette is around the hairy 2.9-mile road course at GM’s Milford proving grounds than was last year’s model with the Z51 handling package."

Keep the 07 spend a few bucks to add some goodies and wait for the C7.

I would jump to the GS. I really like mine. But you will take a bath selling yours. If you can afford it you'll love it but if you don't want to lose money keep the one you're in.

you will take about a 20k hit on that nice 07. is a one year old GS worth a 20K premium? only if you have money to burn (perfect if you do). you can make your 07 look like a GS for 10K or less .

I'm not sure I can agree about taking the bath part. I bought my 07 last yr for 34,500 out of Vegas with 15k miles on it. It has every single option except Onstar unless I never figured out how to use it through the Navi. The car has 18k on it now with an extended warranty up to 100k on it that was included. So all in all even if i get 32k which I can probably do easily since its so clean. Am I missing something?
