you don't need 'em 'til you need 'em, then when you don't have 'em, that's when you really need 'em (something that Yogi would say)

The likelihood of these being a factory installed option is almost nonexistent. In order for GM to install these in the car they would need to submit crash test data with them in the car and the chances of that on the current platform are very unlikely.

This will end up as a GCA part that may be available as a dealer installed option after the sale.

....and they don't have harness or sub-belt pass throughs.

I remember seeing a video of them (Pratt Miller seats) in a Z06 a year or so ago. Price was somewhere around $7500 for the pair.

Had a discussion with the man himself @ Carlisle and lets's just say he did not deny the connection with GM. It will "ops" would be a dealer install option. The price for the seats that"may" be used as part of his current interior upgrades are $4800. IMO probably less as GM will purchase in bulk to keep costs in line with what people will be willing to pay.BTW pics of this guy's interior upgrades do not do them justice.Stunning in person.Total attention to detail A C6Z Vert. conversion was on display. You'd swear it was factory.

A $3,400+ seat update to a Caravaggio or Recaro is way beyond what most Corvette owners want or need, IMHO. Corvette marketing needs to IMPROVE the factory seat's support...it's been 6 years without real improvement and it is about time.

this seat would certainly frustrate the people who can't get in their cars without sliding down their side bolsters.

This is where the sit-&-turn method comes in handy IMHO.

Those seats are sharp, no doubt. But I wouldn't pay 5-6G for them, whether they are a GM accessory or what. I don't think they would sell a lot of them.

A nice seat, but still a street seat. For track I use a $750 sparco seat.. haha.

The last sofa I bought was $1,500 so that's all I think they should cost extra from the factory.

If other manufactures can do it plus parts of GM, then why not Corvette? Here are pictures of a Cadillac, Viper, and Mustang with optional seats. I always thought the seats in the C5 & C6 didn’t hold you in too well and seamed cheap. GM isn’t shy about charging 50k – 120k for the Corvette, but always goes cheap on the interiors. Wow now they're offing colored sticking on the Carbon model. Changing the color of tread doesn’t cost them anything.

Plus add a slot for a harness to fit through (sport seats).

I know Corvette can do even better than these seats.

Cadillac - a little better seat

Viper - not that bad of a seat

2012 Mustang Boss - these look a little cheap, but they're trying

That's exactly why I bought a 2LT car instead of the 1LT. I didn't want the last thing to go through my mind as I was about to be T-boned to be "darn, sure wish I had bought the 2LT option!"

I hope GM wakes up. Shoot, some OEM has been putting in Recaro seats for some time. You can buy a Mazda RX-8 and get Recaro seats from the factory.

Why the C6 has not had that option is beyond me!??!?!
