Another altercation with a hater
So about a year ago I posted a thread about this jacka$$ in a Mustang getting all confrontational on me for going the speed limit than stopping at a crosswalk for kids. Well, today was more of the same. I was coming back a weekend long camping trip just cruising through the mountains passing people in the fast lane with my brother behind me in his Jeep.
There is this pos car going under the speed limit in the fast lane boxing in cars from going by, you know when they keep pace with the car in the slow lane. This was clearly intentional and he just wanted to be an a$$. So I pass him in the oncoming lane, slow next to him, flip him off, than gun it and leave him. Well he continues to box in the slower cars including my brother and pretty much just **** everyone off on the road. 10 miles later I exit to get gas.
As soon as I pull up to the pump this douche rolls in. As soon as he rolls by he says something like "yeah, f--- you too." I'm thinking this punk wants to throw down and my blood up and I'm ready to drop this kid but he decides to instead just making smartass punk bitch comments in my direction. So I give some right back. He says Vettes are for chicks and he has a VW at home that would smoke me
I tell him VWs are for gays and chicks only and he doesn't look like a girl. He has nothing to say back and pumps his gas. At this point my brother has pulled in and comes over. This tatted up tough guy doesn't seem so tough anymore and gets in the back seat (apparently his girl took his keys away from him) Another young guy was in the car too but he wasn't talking crap he just looked embarrased just like the young girl and the grandma in the back seat. As he left he said something like 'your lucky my family's here' typical punk bitch stuff so he can try to save some face. We laughed as he pulled away with his gas door open.
He probably thought I was some small dude or some old guy and when he saw me he didn't want none anymore, just thought it best to talk crap like the punk the is No I don't go looking for trouble but you gotta hold your own against these punks or they'll keep thinking they're the baddest dudes out there which there not. At least this time is wasn't a Stang owner. Guess there's enough hate to go around.
BTW I got a check engine light on the way back - code P1682 - anyone know what that is? Thanks fellas

Road rage is a terrible thing ,been there and ALMOST did that,Realized it would not be worth paying his Dr's bills while raising my family.
BTW,You are probably driving the wrong vehicle for you at this time.These car bring out the stupidity and azzhole antics in some people and you have to be able to "fluff it off"

I also think that, like last year, you were lucky that someone wasn't packing heat.
That said, I hate it when people live in the left lane but I have never flipped anyone off for doing so.

When I read this, I don't hear that he was a hater...I hear he was going slower than you wanted and you flipped him off. I think you were the instigator/hater, IMHO.
I also think that, like last year, you were lucky that someone wasn't packing heat.
That said, I hate it when people live in the left lane but I have never flipped anyone off for doing so.
